MSMG Toolkit Review
MSMG Toolkit is a free, command line-based application that helps you create a custom, stripped down Windows installation by adding, removing or enabling features and components. This utility works through a DOS / ncurses-like command prompt and is fairly accessible to most users.
MSMG Tools enables you to remove certain built-in Windows apps, which can reduce the size of an ISO image and help make your system more power efficient. For instance, you can delete features like Microsoft Edge, OneDrive and Azure.
In addition, you can customize the installer's boot menu and UI to match your preferences. You can also integrate a wide variety of features like language packs, device drivers and Windows Updates into your custom install.
It can also create a DVD ISO file and burn it to a bootable USB Flash drive. Moreover, it can convert WIM images and ESD files to the WIM format.
The program is divided into four main sections: the Basic tab, the Intermediate tab, the Advanced tab and the Tools tab. The first two feature the All-In-One Integrator to add components, while the Advanced tab includes a WIM Registry Editor and Component Removal.
Using these tools you can completely modify your Windows install, modifying it from the very start to the end. The app is also capable of creating a Windows 10 image setup, converting it between ESD and WIM formats, integrating Windows Updates and device drivers, and burning the final custom installer to a bootable USB Flash drive.
